Independent home-exterior guides. Not a contractor, and not an emergency service.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 September 2026

This policy applies to Take Care Nest at takecarenest.com and www.takecarenest.com. It does not cover other websites linked from articles, and it does not cover a contractor, lender or insurer you contact on your own.

Information you provide

The contact form asks for a name, reply email, topic and message, with an optional page URL. Those details are stored in a private WordPress inbox so administrators can review the enquiry. The form does not add you to a marketing list. Do not send identity documents, financial account numbers or insurance files.

Technical information

Serving a page involves an IP address, requested URL, time, browser type and similar request headers. Hosting, backups and Cloudflare can process that information to deliver and protect the site. The contact form uses a short-lived keyed hash of the network address to limit repeated submissions. That rate-limit entry expires after one hour. The form also uses a security token and a hidden spam-trap field.

Cookies now in use

WordPress may set cookies for signed-in administration and for the contact-form token. Cloudflare may set security cookies as part of delivery. We do not set a marketing or newsletter cookie. After a rewarded advertisement is completed, the site may set a first-party cookie named takecarenest_access for about six hours so interstitial and rewarded ads are not requested again during that time. Display and top-anchor ads can still load. Advertising cookies are described below and in the Cookie and Cache Policy.

Google advertising and your choices

This website uses Google Ad Manager to show labelled advertisements on editorial pages. Policy pages (About, Contact, Privacy, Terms, Cookies and Disclaimer) do not load ad code. Google and participating vendors may use cookies or similar identifiers to select, measure and, where allowed, personalise ads. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and manage personalisation in Google My Ad Center. Participating vendors may also offer choices at YourAdChoices.

For personalised advertising to visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google requires an appropriate certified consent-management platform integrated with its framework. Publishing this policy does not by itself provide that consent flow. If personalised ads are served to people in those regions, the advertising configuration has to meet that requirement. You can read Google’s current explanation in its consent-management guidance.

How long we keep contact messages

Messages in the reader inbox are deleted on a rolling basis after about 180 days by the site plugin. Backups made by the host may persist for the host’s backup cycle. Rate-limit entries expire after one hour.

Your requests

To ask about a contact message we hold, use Contact Us and choose “Privacy request.” Include the email address you used. We may need to confirm you control that address before changing or deleting a message. This page is not a promise that every backup copy disappears the same day.
